Day Care for Dad

After a two-year wait, my dad has been accepted into a really nice Alzheimer's Day Care center in Chula Vista. We went last Friday to an orientation and he loved it! This way he will be able to socialize with people of his own age and with the same affliction. It will definitely be good for him. And for me (i will get a break at least two days a week!).

May God bless you and your Dad. I saw your story on a PBS documentary and was moved to tears. My Mother has been forgetting things lately and her doctor put her on Aricept. It's hard to see her ageing, when I so vividly remember her being my age when I was a child. Thank you for sharing your story. Best love and wishes, Franny

Hi Ricardo,

Thank goodness is all I can say. You really DO NEED to take care of yourself. Take it from me I learnt the hard way. All the best.
