It was my grandmother's 105th birthday yesterday. She is as feisty as ever, very talkative and she still has a beer now and then. In fact, she gave up smoking when she turned 93. She still lives in her own home a leads a pretty normal life.
On the other hand my dad, Jesus, who is 82, led a very healthy lifestyle. Nevertheless, my father has Alzheimer's and my grandmother is sharper than ever. What gives?

OMG
My Dad had a serious fall last night. I was so sound asleep, but I awoke to see him fall in the hallway that abutts my bedroom. He had just gone to the bathroom and slipped and fell. He has diapers but still insists on going to the bathroom. YIKES!!! it was a real nasty fall, but no damage (thank GOD). Anyway, the bed rails are due to arrive today and that will control (hopefully) his late night romps.
