OMG
My Dad had a serious fall last night. I was so sound asleep, but I awoke to see him fall in the hallway that abutts my bedroom. He had just gone to the bathroom and slipped and fell. He has diapers but still insists on going to the bathroom. YIKES!!! it was a real nasty fall, but no damage (thank GOD). Anyway, the bed rails are due to arrive today and that will control (hopefully) his late night romps.

When my Father was in a nursing home. I was a like you and wanted to take care of my Father but the VA doctors placed him in a nursing home. He also had some falls. They had a device that attaches to the clothes that will send a signal that warns you when he is out of bed. I also found out allot about my father during he last year. I had the privilege of taking on a Honor Flight to the WWII monument in Washington DC. What a time we had and I found out what a life he had, he opened up so much during that flight. I pray for you and your Father. These are the most valuable times you will ever have. If you get a chance record the conversations you have with your Father. God be with you.
