CHANGES

Trying to face the changes. Dad is no longer my care, but is now in a nursing home. That is why posts have been few and far between. Nevertheless I will update with any changes in his condition.

Bless your heart....that must have been a hard thing to do for as much as you were caring at home for your Father. I can only imagine. Just when I think about putting my Dad in a nursing home I bawl like a baby.
I watched your story JUST last night on PBS. I so identified with so many things you said. My 91 year old Dad lives with me and my husband in our home in Oklahoma. We built on an addition just for him.
We have never laughed so much as we have since Dad moved in with us. I so identified with the humor that was spoken about in your story. I thought, wow, someone who finds this not just sad, but someone who can laugh at some of the stories that happens. I have not read your blog yet but I will....I have a blog too....been keeping it here in the same place since the day that Dad came home with us from Indiana. Check it out.. http://thecuriouscaseofodie.blogspot.com/ If you need a good laugh you must read some of the stuff my Dad comes up with. He doesn't have Alzheimers. It's dementia related to Parkinson's they tell me. Although I have my doubt about it being Parkinson's but what do Drs know? LOL Oh don't get me started.

I enjoyed your story so much. I watched it before going to sleep and I couldn't stop thinking about emailing you to say how much I enjoyed seeing someone else like me having the same thoughts. You will probably be hearing from me again as I read your blog.

Don't stop blogging....it's good therapy.
